Jumping to Kotakunclusions
Right now we don’t have any plans for Geometry Wars 3 or anything,” said Bizarre Creations’ Gareth Wilson during the Kotaku Talk Radio podcast… Oh. Well. That’s, y’know. That’s just for now. That doesn’t mean they’re never going to make Geometry Wars 3, does it? I mean, you’d have to be some kind of moron to jump to that kind of...

YAY AUSTRALIA!
Hoorah for Kotaku! They ask the important questions, like “Adult Rated Video Games Bound for Australia?” And then you click on the link and you find out that the answer is still “No,” but the one guy who desperately wants to stop adult-rated games from coming out Down Under has stepped down from his position as Australia’s Biggest Dickhead. But your hopes were...

Left-handed gamers? Ooo, scary!
Bloody Hell, Kotaku. Are you really that stunned at the notion that there might be left-handed people out there who use their mouse in their left hand and so might want a left-handed gaming mouse? Are you really so stunned that gaming accessory manufacturer Razer has decided to accommodate them? That “news item” is rather condescending and entirely dickish. Kotaku’s Luke...

TV ads that steal from games →
Everything about this article is just wrong. It’s a waste of webspace, a steaming turd of an editorial item. They say that the British Army recruitment ads are “so blatantly ripping of Call of Duty (and any other military FPS) it’s shocking.” As my friend Andrew has pointed out, how exactly can you rip off an entire genre of videogaming for an ad? Besides which, army...

Marathon conclusions
Apparently when a company files for a trademark on a years-old game that is still available to purchase right now, it means that the company must be working on a new project in that franchise. Cool your jets, GameSpy.

“Perhaps this is the start of a bigger pre-delivered DLC trend?”
– “Start of a trend”? Bryn, this is something game developers have been doing for years. Or don’t you follow the industry…? Source: GameSpy: BioShock 2’s DLC Already on Disc [March 15th, 2010]

Final Fantasy XIII tops UK chart →
This news post about a PlayStation 3 game appeared in GameSpot’s PC feed, because they chose to categorize it as a news item concerning Activision/Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. As opposed to, say, a news item concerning SquareEnix’s Final Fantasy XIII. What a bunch of fucking rocket surgeons.

Phoning It In
Speaking at TechEd Middle East, Microsoft’s Eric Rudder has shown off this demo of a platformer than is able to be played across a mobile phone, Xbox 360 and PC. Not only is the game mostly comprised of the same code (only around 10% has to be specifically reserved for multiplatform stuff), but as Rudder shows, you can play on your phone, pause, then resume playing on a 360 at the exact...

Congratulations to Kotaku for letting us know... →
Only two days after Game Informer had originally told us, and less than a week after everybody else had already figured it out. That’s some real nice journalisming, Kotaku. I suppose you should also be commended for quite shamelessly stealing images from Rock Paper Shotgun. Update [May 5th, 2010]: Received an email from Kotaku’s Michael McWhertor who says, “Those images were...

Tumblr are Incompetent Fuckwits, but so are...
I’ve been unable to update this blog for the last few days now - clicking “Create Post” would take me back to the dashboard and apparently discard the post entirely. I had hoped to share a particular moment of lunacy from Kotaku last week concerning the feud between Infinity Ward and Activision, which Kotaku decided in their absolute genius to report a grand total of four times...

Hardware failures? They all look alike to me.
Sony’s getting a lot of flack about it’s PlayStation Network outage at the moment, so I’m glad we can trust good old Kotaku to keep things in perspective and remind us that, hey, this hardware failure is a bit like another hardware failure that Microsoft had in 2008! With the Zune! Which is a media player, not a games system! Honestly, how is “hardware failures have...
