GamrConnect, Brett Walton: Website Issues - GameJournos.com: Breach of ethics by VGChartz editorial staff? [Additions made on September 13th, 2011]

Earlier today, Brett added this to the post I quoted from yesterday in an attempt to make himself look prescient. It’s interesting to note that he’s actually lying in his edit. I mean flat-out, actual, proper lies. Let’s go over them, shall we?

• Describing Brett’s financial backing of Nick’s BlizzCon trip was far from “fully expenses paid” - Brett covered a $160 bus ticket for Nick’s girlfriend, which he agreed to based on the fact that she’d been the photographer for the successful PAX cosplay article, and then an additional $40 for gas and parking (which, it’s worth noting, didn’t actually cover the entire gas and parking costs for the expo, leaving Nick slightly out of pocket).
• Nick posted six news items during the BlizzCon trip - three hands-on posts, a cosplay gallery, a screenshot gallery and a video/photo gallery of the Tenacious D performance. Considering this was a two-day expo to promote three games (three!), that’s not a bad haul. That’s far from “enjoying the sites [sic] of the city and not covering the event”, and considering the city in question is Anaheim (and that Nick, as previously mentioned, was relying on his work at VGChartz as his sole source of income), there aren’t really many “sites” worth seeing.

He ended the additions by posting this video of me from Comic-Con 2009, as if having fun and hawking my wares at a comic convention somehow invalidates my argument.

Oh, and he suggests that I might well touch upon the subject of Joseph Jackmovich’s employment status with the company and whether or not he was “fulfilling his duties”. That’s actually not a bad idea. Thanks for the suggestion, Brett!
