How do you feel about interviews that inject narrative into the questions and as a result ascertain little to no information about the actual game? For example: Tracking down developers of Wii games (which are “certain to fail”) and begging for HD ports.

There’s a very strong narrative in the gaming media that is insistent that any and all third-party WIi exclusives are either shovelware or are simply doomed to failure. Oddly enough the same narrative didn’t exist with the PlayStation 2, which was the previous generation’s shovelware console of choice (and if you don’t believe me you need only to look at the output of companies like Phoenix Games (http://forums.penny-arcade.com/showthread.php?t=14260) or Blast Games (http://www.sold-out.co.uk/productlist.asp?productLabelID=5&mainstyle=blastmain)). SO it’s not uncommon for them to ask “Hey, are you *SURE* this is going to be a console exclusive? Like, REEEEALLY sure?”

Ask me anything
