Eurogamer: Tim Schafer hits back at Bobby Kotick [September 27th, 2010]

This appears at the end of an article where Tim Schafer responds to Kotick’s attack earlier today, with no context. To anyone reading the article it may seem that Eurogamer are suggesting Kotick feels his comments about Double Fine Productions have been taken out of context.

But if you’ve read this Eurogamer article - or indeed, any other article on the squabble - you’ll quickly learn which comments Kotick feels have been taken out of context:

Kotick also insisted his infamous “taking the fun out of videogame development” quote was just a quip.

“That was a joke! The fact that there are people – and it’s a small vocal minority – that actually think that I meant it… How do you combat that?”

Context. It’s a wonderful thing.
