Game journalist: n - An individual who writes professionally about computer and video games, although may not adhere to a professional work ethic. May not research or fact-check stories. May be more interested in hyperbole than actual constructive criticism of media. May be incapable of determining the mathematical average of a 0-to-10 scale. May be unable to handle criticism. More ways that I am wrong

I was skeptical about PokéBeach’s claim that Nintendo had cease-and-desist’d them for posting pictures of the new Pokémon from the new Black & White versions, but GayGamer has a statement from Nintendo themselves that states that, yes, they did bring the legal hammer down on “a select few websites”. So there we are. My apologies to the guys at PokéBeach and Serebii.net for doubting the validity of their claim.

I still maintain that the gaming blogs who posted this story were in error for not even attempting to contact Nintendo to verify the claims. At this rate it’s getting so that any website can make claims and gaming blogs will pounce all over it like it’s newsworthy. Oh, wait - it’s always been like that.
