This is the ninth edition of Lewie Procter’s “Game Journalists Are Cool Dudes”. Which is nice.
If “Games?” is the question, then I suppose “Games?” is also the answer.
It’s a monthly magazine, except it’s printed on pixels instead of paper, and you don’t have to give them any money to read their words.
It’s put together by Ashton Raze, in his free time between writing about games for the Telegraph, and you’ll probably recognise the names of some of the contributors from various different corners of the internet.
Issue 2 came out this week, and a particular highlight for me was Rob Foster’s hilarious take on the old as time itself question “Are games art?”, featuring lovely lines like:
I can’t wait for the day when our national galleries are demolished and replaced with giant Wi-Fi enabled amusement arcades.
And:
I dream of a world where the likes of Heavy Rain are written and directed by David Lynch instead of David Cage, and it’s a beautiful and happy place.
