Game Journalists Are Incompetent Fuckwits

Game journalist: n - An individual who writes professionally about computer and video games, although may not adhere to a professional work ethic. May not research or fact-check stories. May be more interested in hyperbole than actual constructive criticism of media. May be incapable of determining the mathematical average of a 0-to-10 scale. May be unable to handle criticism. May claim to be "just a blogger" or "not a journalist really", which is at least partially true. See also: Game PR.

A correction

I am informed by a number of sources that Kotaku, along with a number of other gaming press outlets, were given early access to the new Dashboard beta. It’s just people like me - y’know, the regular, normal bloggers - who can’t blog about the beta or talk to the press about it. Why we’d want to talk to the press about it when they can quite freely talk about it themselves I’m not entirely sure.

Anyway, I just wanted to issue a correction regarding that earlier post.
